Acupuncturist

Job Position : Acupuncturist

Salary range : $48000.00-$47632.00/year

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  1. Help treat a variety of physical pain and psychological issues like hypertension or anxiety.
  2. Consult with patients about their symptoms, diagnose the issue and treat it using acupuncture
needles and other tools.
  3. Provide acupuncture massage to reduce discomfort in patients.
  4. Understand anatomy and basic physiology to provide acupuncture treatment.
  5. Instruct and counsel patients on lifestyle changes.
  6. Provide diet and exercise regimen to patients.
  7. Participate in acupuncture seminars, conferences, and events.
  8. Ensure quality treatment processes in acupuncturist duties.
  9. Insert needles to provide acupuncture treatment.
  10. Maintain and follow standard quality, safety, environmental and infection control policies and procedures.
  11. Identify correct anatomical and proportional point locations based on patients’ anatomy and positions, contraindications, and precautions related to treatments
  12. Analyze physical findings and medical histories to make diagnoses according to Oriental medicine traditions.
  13. Treat patients using tools such as needles, cups, ear balls, seeds, pellets, and nutritional supplements.
  14. Develop individual treatment plans and strategies.
  15. Evaluate treatment outcomes and recommend new or altered treatments as necessary to further promote, restore, or maintain health.

REQUIREMENTS:

Master of Science in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.
Texas State Board of Acupuncture license.
